TechEco DZ map of Algerian companies
A map of 1,556 verified Algerian companies.

The need
Nobody knew which Algerian companies exist online, or which ones hire. We set out to measure it.
What we built
A platform in three languages with an interactive map, sector filters and over 6,600 static pages, live and free.
- Astro
- React
- Python
- LangChain
- Cloudflare
The results
- 1 556
- verified companies
- 61 %
- have no website
- 6 600+
- pages, zero broken links
- 92 %
- have never posted a job online
- 14
- sectors covered
What the app does, screen by screen
TechEco DZ, live
- Public data platform mapping 1,556 verified employers across Algiers, Oran and Béjaïa.
- 92% have never posted a job online and 61% have no website: the home page draws every one of them as a dot.
- Built with Astro, React, Python, LangChain, Owlready2 and Cloudflare Workers.

One map, two live signals
- Interactive Leaflet map colors every marker by whichever metric is active, popularity or tech-hiring potential.
- Legend and marker colors switch live, no page reload, across 1,556 companies in 3 cities.
- Filterable by sector, subsector, and distance from any point.

A page for every company
- Each company gets its own page: address, Google rating, sector tags and the nearest transit stop.
- A small radar map places it among its neighbours, landmarks and similar businesses within 1.5 km.
- Job seekers jump straight from a company to the employers that match their profile.

Ranked by a documented score
- Companies are compared on a published composite score, not listed like a directory.
- Every number links to the formula that produced it, on the open methodology page.
- A free account marks which companies match your city, specialty and role.

Capped, not claimed
- A LangChain agent scores 16 controlled tech specialties per company from an initial LLM pass.
- An independent calibration stage re-checks every score against stored evidence and hard-caps unsupported claims at 49/100.
- Every company moves through the same six stages before a score goes public: discover, verify, crawl evidence, assess, calibrate, publish.
- The page says it plainly: employer research, not job listings.

Any city, head to head
- 3 canonical city-vs-city pages (Algiers, Béjaïa, Oran), one per unique pair.
- Head-to-head rows (verified companies, landmarks, hiring signal, websites, reviews) computed entirely from data the pipeline already produces.
- No new data collection required: pure derived pages for search.

Digital presence, measured
- Website, social-profile and careers-page coverage across the 823 companies of the Algiers area.
- 282 working websites, 131 with at least 3 pages, 197 companies with social profiles.
- Sector-by-sector bars show who is online, with the analysis scope stated on the page.

Every salon, on one calendar
- 48 upcoming expos, salons and conferences in Algeria, with dates, venues and organizers.
- A six-month heatmap shows the busiest salon days at a glance.
- Filter by sector and city, or subscribe to the salons calendar.

Find my match
- A guided search in 3 levels: where you want to work, which sectors interest you, which roles you would consider.
- Employers are ranked on the evidence already verified in their data, across 16 tech specialties.
- The result says what it means: no fabricated vacancies, no claim that a company is hiring today.

Startups met at trade shows
- Profiles of Algerian startups met at ECSEL Expo 2026: what they do, who they serve, where they exhibited.
- Each card leads with the problem the startup solves.
- Grouped by sector, from Software & IT to Transport & Logistics.

Tech talent, on their own terms
- Developers, designers and data people in Algeria who chose to be found: what they do, their skills, when they can start.
- Search by name, title or skill; filter by city, specialty and who is available now.
- Anyone can import a CV and get a public profile in a minute; the file stays on their device.

One static site, three languages
- Fully static Astro output: more than 6,600 pages in English, French and Arabic, each with its own canonical URL.
- React islands only where real interaction is needed, the map and the job matcher.
- Optional accounts (Clerk) on a separate Cloudflare Workers + D1 service; the public pages read one generated snapshot.
